I have been in private practice for over 20 years.  I began specializing in children and play therapy originally, but evolved to working with a very broad spectrum of ideas, emotions, and concerns and have worked with veterans, couples, young adults in transition, relationship difficulties, and life choices.  I have worked with children and adolescents with Sacramento County Mental Health for 10 years, and with Paradise Oaks Youth Services as a Clinical Director for 4 years.

I am accepting new clients in the Sacramento and Nevada County areas. I hope to provide you with some understanding and help you find a path. Feelings or experiences encompass a wide variety, but the basic theme is "something's going to be different." I'm a kind person; having years of professional and life experience, I'll help you and/or your family through it.

 

I've had training in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and have worked with many people working to overcome traumas. I've worked in a school setting for many years to work with teens and their families, and have had some success working with couples.

I am a soft spoken man, but I've worked with virtually every possibility of human difficulty you can think of. I like to talk and listen in a straightforward manner. Sometimes people need to feel a little better before they can make a choice. Call and make an appointment.
